We are delighted to announce Mark McCaigue from team TAB has been invited to speak at the Northern Ireland Developer Conference (NIDC) to be held on the 10th June 2017 at Queens University Belfast.

The software development scene in Northern Ireland has exploded over the past few years and the NIDC aims to bring developers from all disciplines together, learn from each other and celebrate the range of amazing work going on in Northern Ireland.

Mark is a Software Engineer at TheAppBuilder, where he helps to build our enterprise mobile app platform. He has a background in machine learning and web applications, and an interest software technology and practices in startups. When not catching up with the latest JavaScript framework, he can often be found exploring a new photography location, and aims to one day complete a trip without getting lost.

Mark’s talk @ NIDC will be titled: “A Tale of Two Codebases – Our Journey With Xamarin”

Stories from the coalface of development with Xamarin. From conception through to release, a walk through our adventures in overhauling our mobile client architecture at TheAppBuilder. Along the way we will look at strategies for mobile client development, why we chose Xamarin and when you might too, and the what and why of the Xamarin technologies on offer.
